Hello, my name is Skylar! I am so glad you have stopped by to my little corner. Growing up I would practice drawing by copying illustrations from my favorite books, and I knew wanted to be a part of the exciting process of making books!

The stories I get most excited about are about girl power, the magic of childhood, and adventure. I am a Wisconsinite at heart, and went to art school at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Colorado. After a long and lovely time in New York City, I now live in D.C. with my husband Tim, and our cats, Obex and Sweet Potato.

I have been fortunate to work with amazing publishers and clients such as Quarto, Oxford University Press, Viking, DK, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sourcebooks, Honest History and Barrington-Stoke.
